It's that time of year again. So how does /ck/ make chili?
>>8166297
Someone stole the beans from your chili and dropped a plant on top of it
mine is really basic and boring
>sauté onion green peppers garlic and mince beef
>add two cans of diced tomatoes and a can of tomato sauce
>add brown sugar and lime juice to round out sweetness
>simmer for 1-2 hours
>add a can of red kidney memes, a can of mixed memes and some frozen corn and heat

I purreed the beans...
and fed the chili to texans who raved about the amazing flavor and authenticity.

Brown sugar and corn have no place in chili

>gently fry diced onion in a mild oil (sunflower) until golden
>fry beef (braising steak or minced) until starting to brown on edges
>heaped tablespoon of mild chilli powder, cumin, black pepper, paprika
>level tablespoon of garlic powder
>heaped teaspoon of salt
>heaped teaspoon of chipotle paste
>tin of tomatoes, fill tin with hot beef stock and add
>simmer for at least two hours
>add fresh onion and sliced chillies just before serving

>corn has no place in chili
says who?
I'm not gonna tell you guys exactly how I make my 15 minute chili because when last I did, a shitstorm ensued. But I will say that it is entirely from scratch.
Other than one uncommon extra ingredient, the ingredients are all typical chili ingredients. A blend of various storebought chili powders (sweet paprika, cayenne, chipotle, ancho and smoked paprika), one homemade chili powder (habanero), onion powder, cumin powder, a blend of tallow and lard, frozen chopped onion (because reasons), garlic, beef cubes, dried tomatoes (rather than tomato paste because where I live, tomato paste is tomato juice with the liquid taken out with few-to-no solids), beef stock and salt.
I entered it once into a chili contest and out of seventeen entrants, I won second place. Not bad for 15 minutes, eh?

I buy a can of hormel no-beans chili.
Little too much TVP for my taste, but it's good enough.
If you make chili without beans I will have to politely ask you to leave this post and go somewhere else.
