If you put these on a sheet of aluminum foil* and lower them down into a pot with a steamer basket, and steam them for 8-10 minutes, they taste just like the real thing. They get scorching hot and not the least bit soggy. I was expecting them to be warm at best, but they really do absorb a lot of heat from the steam.
*The box recommends it. I think it serves a few purposes. The steamer basket will conduct heat into the bun, and possibly make it tough. Aluminum sucks at conducting heat. Also, the water might bubble up and get the bottom wet. Makes lifting them out of there a cinch, and you don't have anything to clean.
