I sure did. Haven't done these since I was about 13. The cake tastes good and it rose well enough, so it isn't a complete fuck up. Just mostly.

if you didn't have a muffin tin, you should have made it in a loaf pan or cake pan. or gotten some aluminum liners, they're sturdy enough to use without a muffin tin.
