I keep seeing this in my local Tesco, and it seems to be a Russian import of good repute. Has anyone else here drunk it (domestic or import bottle)? If you have, how would you rate it?

It's okay, nothing special - still better than smirnoff or supermarket own brands.
Personally I'd take russian standard or absolut over it, both are usually near the same price and they are both better vodkas in my opinion.

Russian standard really disappointed me. Bought it for the first time a few weeks ago, and it honestly tasted more like a gin than a vodka.
Literally was like drinking pine needles. I am not sure what the fuck happened with that particular batch I got, or if they're all like that, but it was a disgrace. Never buying it again.

I have no idea what you got, but that has never happened to me with RS before.
>>8154111
I've drank hundreds of bottles of RS and every once in a while you end up with a fucked up bottle. I think they spill the tails into every batch once in a while.

Interesting. That's probably correct.
Green Mark is bottom-tier brand of vodka here, in Mother Russia.
reminder that there is literally no point paying for premium vodka

Never ever had one that tasted like gin, very odd.
All vodka tastes the same when left in the freezer anyway.

Really now? I had a feeling its mass production in Russia would lead to a quality drop, but I believed its impressive pedigree would protect it somewhat.
What would you recommend by way of Russian vodkas, yourself? And what do you think of less well known spirits like Polugar or Nastoyka liqueurs?
>>8154224
You're treading on VERY thin ice. Yes, there are more than a few bargain bottles that easily run rings round overpriced brands (Grey Goose is a prime example). However, a bottom-shelf vodka will taste decidedly like the rank, unfiltered nail-polish it is justly derided as, with >>8154271 being the only way to stomach them.

>Polugar
is good but overpriced.
>Nastoyka
is russian word for tincture not a brand
>What would you recommend by way of Russian vodkas, yourself?
Every self-respected man in Russia drinks only imported alcohol.

I've been drinking a lot of Russki Standart over the years and never had a problem, must have been a freak accident.
