Do you mind eating cold leftovers?
i actively welcome it most of the time. jabbing at bowls of congealed leftovers doused with hot sauce and taking a handful of leafy greens every other bite is like my favourite breakfast and lunch
i just drown it in butter and salt to make it tolerable. i'll die an early death

not usually, but it depends on the food.

a little. leftovers are fine, but why eat them cold when I can microwave them/ stick them in the oven for a couple minutes?

I fucking hate leftovers. Very few things actually taste better the next day. Fried foods being the worst. I like crisp vegetables, juicy and/or flaky meat, fluffy rice and potatoes, etc. Texture is very important to me. You can just TASTE the microwave on foods. And reheating fried chicken in the toaster oven is almost decent, but you can still just fucking tell.
Best of both worlds is fresh made rice with reheated gumbo or red beans. Fresh green onions on top. That livens it up. When you make gumbo, ladle out a portion into another pot. Add the seafood to that. That way you don't get rubbery shrimp or crab. Do the same with any leftovers. Reheat a portion and add fresh seafood. Keep the seafood on crushed ice in the refrigerator. You can buy a container that lets the ice melt and drip underneath. Eat it quick, but gumbo never stays for long so you should have no problem.

But cans aren't microwaveable?

they don't dry out (again)
I typically throw all my leftovers in the microwave with some cheeses melted on top, maybe some other greasy shit I can find around the fridge too.
