I did my job then. It's whipped cream icing but I topped it with a semi-liquid glaze.

If I was your friend I'd fucking love that. That's a nice touch.
Overall it looks like you just need more practice. I don't see anything that screams "Wrong!" to me, just overall a lack of experience that you can only get from making cake after cake after cake. Keep it up.
