I've been trying a bunch of wine and beer, but I'd also like to get into liquor. I have almost no experience with liquor, so where should I start?

Try going out and asking your friendly neighborhood liquor store clerk?

just start.
go to whatever store has liquor, decide which types you want to drink, and pick one that fits your bill.
itll take a solid 10-15 years to find out what you like, and acquire a taste.

Find out what you like first. Whiskey Vodka (gross), Gin, Bourbon, etc.
But based on your post I doubt you'll do this. You'll taste a few decide liquor is icky and go back to wine coolers.

Find a store that sells a wide variety of those mini single shot bottles and go nuts. They run about $1.50-3 each.
Buy a 10-20 dollar bottle of whiskey, vodka, gin, rum and tequila. Try them all straight and mixed. Whichever you like the most you can explore more.

This is a good idea and is pretty much the whole purpose behind them.
Try a gin and tonic. Try a rum and coke. Try a vodka crans. Drink whiskey straight. Snort salt, shoot tequila, and suck lime.
buy the cheapest vodka you can and choke it down straight and room temp like a real alcoholic
