But I don't think that's relevant because it's been thousands of years since the first human being ever killed a deer.

These days there are countless resources for recipes, with 4chan being among the worst. It seems to indicate a massive lack of planning that OP is asking for advice here after he already has the meat.

2 Tbsp rosemary, one tsp minced garlic, pinch of red pepper
Pat cutlets of backstrap/loin with spices
Cook in olive oil on medium heat until medium rare.

Enjoy with toasted baby red potatoes
