Holy shit. It's my time to shine OP I got a good recipe for you.
Get a small tub of cream cheese and a small jar of cocktail sauce. On a plate large enough to hold two cans of crabmeat, evenly lay the cream cheese onto the plate about 1 inch high all around. Next, take crabmeat and spread that on top of cream cheese, again about 1 inch high. Take cocktail sauce and spread over top of crab (as much as desired) and finish by putting remaining crab meat over that.
And there you have it. My own crab dip recipe. I guarrantee you will love it. Enjoy with crackers of your choice.

How is canned crab meat compared to fresh crab meat?
Is it much cheaper?
Does it taste much worse?
We got a new Asian market in my town and I saw that they had canned crab meat, but I wasn't sure whether I should just buy fresh crab meat if I wanted a crab dish.
