Pound cake takes 5-6 eggs at a time. So does quiche.

Also, when you're getting near the expiration date, blow out the yolks and make pysanka, then give them as gifts.

Use however much you can for quiches/baking/pasta- freeze what you don't use, all freeze pretty well- and then take whatever eggs you have left, separate them, and freeze the yolks and whites separately, in portions of 2 or 3 whites/yolks so you don't have to defrost the whole lot. Frozen whites and yolks work just as well as fresh for baking/pastry applications.

Ok i made a pound cake this morning from Martha Stewarts site. It's in oven now.

I use metric system and it was fun to realise half way in ohhh everything is around 200g
