Which one?
>>
anything between 6 and 8 minutes is ideal to me.

I like my yolk ultra soft, but not too runny
>>
>>7986887
why 8-9 minutes of course.
>>
>>7986887
13

that's the point of it
>>
>>7986948
This. 9 is the only right choice.

As long as it's organic it's fine
>>
>>7986887
I prefer my eggs at 5 so my toast has something to soak up.

Anything between 3 and 13. And anything outside as well.

>my co-worker's face when I sucked an undercooked boiled egg he was gonna throw out

>>7987006
Oh come on. Thats steamed vs boiled.
>>
Well if I'm boiling an egg then I'm making egg salad or deviled eggs. You need fully cooked yolk for that.
>>
4 and a half minutes. If your egg isn't runny, it's overcooked. You lot are plebs.
>>
Someone post the soupy eggs story
>>
>>7986887
Don't care as long as she eats all of them
>>
3 or 5
>>
>>7986887
Its not on there, but I swear by 10 minutes.
>>
>>7987478
Yep. Boil them, cut the heat, put on a lid, and wait 10 minutes, more or less.

Foolproof.
>>
13 minutes
It's supposed to be a hard boiled egg isn't it?
>>
Well done with ketchup, just like my steak.
>>
>>7987006
If you dislike GMO's stop eating any chicken based products. Chickens are one of the most selectively bred species that exist.
>>
8 for me
i want the yolk solid but still creamy
too done and it starts to get...i dunno, almost chalky
>>
>>7987486
it depends on your altitude
when i lived in salt lake city i had a bitch of a time pinpointing boiled eggs because my water would start boiling at ~205 degrees
>>
8-9, hate well cooked boiled eggs. Like a soft white and silky but solid yolk.
>>
>>7987772
Inderdasting, I never really have a problem even if I forget about them because it's just residual heat. My grade school science isn't coming back to me, but do they come out overdone or underdone at high altitudes?
>>
just to be a fucking dick. How does that picture tell you anything from the amount of time. Are those eggs all being cooked at 100C.If you live in colorado your eggs can only cook to 95C. The times required would be different then. If you put salt in the water the water will boil past 100C and the cooking times will be different again.
>>
Boil 7-8 min then drop in ice bath

Also poke a small hole on the larger rounded side where the air pocket of the membrane is. The shell will slip right off ezpeel
>>
>>7987796
you can boil your potato all night on a super high mnt, they will not soften as the temp the water boils at (max temp of water) is not enough to cause the starch to breakdown in the potatos.
>>
6 minutes. Gotta be solid enough not to die in the pan but soft enough to explode when I pop the yolk in my mouth.

picrel
>>
>>7987492
Well not if you want a soft boiled egg.
>>
>>7987006
The sad thing is there are probably thousands of idiots who saw that on facebook and believed it
>>
13. Runny yolk is fucking disgusting and im convinced people pretend to like it to upset me.

>>7986887
13, 12 is ok as well.
>>
>>7989026
>painted
No, that's just a hard boiled egg that's been in the fridge for a day or two.
>>
>>7989037
the bait is too real
>>
>>7989039
What?
>>
>>7988995
man the runny yolk is the best part, its like a god tier sauce made by mother nature her self
>>
>>7986887
I'll do 8 if I can but I don't mind more. Wouldn't do 7. Runny yolks are only good if it's on toast
>>
>5-7 minutes for most reasons
>3 minute for toast dipping
>11-12 minutes for egg salad
>any over 12 minutes - NOPE
>>
11 or 12, but, maybe that's because I've never had a soft boiled egg. Between the time spent in ice water to stop cooking and help the egg contract from the shell and my poor peeling skills, I think the yolk would be too cool to for the thick, runny texture to work well.
>>
>>7987026
Nah, that's overboiled
>>
>>7986887
7-8 if I want a soft
11 if I want hard
>>
>>7988305
you sir are a fucking retard. Boiling my potatoes right now. Its called put salt in the water and than go read a book
>>
>>7986887
5 minutes for maximum dipping.
>>
>>7986887

3, so you can dip your bread soldiers in it.
>>
>>7989528

>doesn't understand what the guy is saying
>calls others retards

He's talking about the affect of altitude on boiling temperatures, dumbass.
>>
>>7986887
5 in noodles or on my mock turtle stew, 8-9 otherwise.
>>
7 to 9, with 7 being much more the ideal.
>>
To eat as is, 8 or so.

For egg salad or deviled eggs usually 15 or so.
>>
>>7990612
Read that as muck turtle at first.

The hell is mock turtle?
>>
>>7986887
3 for salt and immediate consumption
10 for making deviled eggs or egg salad
>>
6-8 tbqh lads
>>
8-9 or fuck your mother
>>
6 for dunking toast in
9 for eating by itself, maybe 8
13 for egg salad
>>
>>7986887
Anything 9 and below and I'm good
>>
Soft boiled is 4 minutes, everything else is literally hard boiled, and we all now hard boiled is the plebs choice.
>>
between 7 and 8
>>
>>7986887

All of them. I loves me some eggs.
>>
>>7991063
TLDR:
Fake turtle "soup", fish balls, chunks of shitty veal cuts and brandy essence.
Gravy is to thick it's more stew than soup though.
>>
>>7986887
probably 8 minutes, I don't like them runny, but soft and creamy is fucking delicious
>>
>>7986887
depends what I'm using it for, so all of them except 3.
>>
boiled harder than my dick watching mompov.

scallions, salt and pepper, minced pickle, mustard, and a scant amount of fresh mayo for the egg salad of champions
