Breakfast is really, really good for you. Most Americans are chronically dehydrated and skipping breakfast is one of the biggest contributors.

I've been eating six eggs a day for almost 10 years. I eat under 25g of carbs a day, I eat 90g of fat and 100g of protein daily.

I don't remember what bread or grains taste like. My heart is fine and i'm at no risk for disease.
>>
>>7977683
>Is it bad to eat two eggs every single morning?
Eating the same thing every day? No, that's bad. You're robbing yourself of variety. If you subbed that with something different occasionally, you'd get different minerals and vitamins that you might otherwise not get elsewhere. You shouldn't have a boring routine not just for the bad aspects that food could be known for (but yea eggs are fine really), but because you should get your food from a variety of foods often. Ask yourself what other protein, or occasionally protein-less breakfast foods you can do that might bring probiotics, different enzymes, fiber, b-vitamins, even omegas from different cooking oils, nuts or from foods like fish. Have a bialys with salmon, cream cheese. Have some molletes or SOS for some beans. Top some oatmeal with apples and walnuts and some flax or quinoa or something they add to ordinary Quaker whole grain blends. Have a mess of steak, mushrooms, tomatoes, spinach...assuming you don't fill your eggs like an omelette differently daily.

when it comes to fat and cholesterol, do not think holistically.

The issue with high fat, high cholesterol foods pertains to a specific part of the body: the tiny blood vessels that feed the heart oxygen rich blood.

When you narrow down the focus to this, It becomes clear that eating high fat, high cholesterol foods has the potential to be deadly, because all it takes to trigger a heart attack is for those tiny blood vessels to get clogged.

>It's not; skipping breakfast being unhealthy is a meme.
Logic doesn't work in reverse like that, bidirectional. What has been rewritten about the golden rule not to skip breakfast or otherwise be unhealthy, is that in studies done on people who skip breakfast, there are more folks who are goal weight. If you ignore everything else about what that might mean, and conclude skipping breakfast is now healthy is naive.

Where's the study that breakfast skippers, more of which might be skinny, have the highest rates of depression, or cancer, or poor muscle strength, or maybe the one that looks into the future and states higher rates of osteoporosis, or whatever. You can't. There's an official academy of pediatrics statement that a vegan diet can be alright for children because that's politically correct and could be true under some circumstances, but it is not in the same sentence of course at the FAR LOWER birthweight of vegan mothers babies, and known correlations of low birthweight to host of predictable increased medical risks, from SIDS to developmental delays.

Too much cholesterol doesn't matter.
It depends on how your body transmits it by means of HDL or LDL.
Majority of the population receive positive cholesterol.
Get a blood test and figure out if YOU should be eating eggs.
I did, and I'm good for eggs. Not only am I benifiting from HDL, but also Omega-3, vit B-12 , vit D and a great amount of protein.

There is not a single shred of evidence that implies there is anything important about eating in the morning. It is simply eating in the morning. It is not more or less healthy than skipping breakfast.

I invite anyone to convince me otherwise.

an egg contains an entire day's cholesterol. If you want to keep eating multiple every day, then you should be eating healthily throughout other meals, and exercising. Unless of course, you simply don't care, in which case, indulge. I don't think breakfast is even that necessary but I normally have oats, water, almonds, a banana, and a pint of tea. A lot of the time you think you're hungry when you're just dehydrated, or crave sugar. Also, stop drinking juices, they're not good for you.

Besides, eating foods with cholesterol doesn't necessarily increase the cholesterol in your blood. This has been medically proven, plenty of academic papers out there discussing it.

My SO is a bio/medical-physicist and I have to listen to her endless rants about how much ignorance is being spewed out there by people who don't know what they're talking about. Even many nutritionists are propagating the myth that dietary cholesterol affects blood cholesterol, they should know better. But then again there is hardly any biophysics in the curriculum for nutritionists so they don't really have that good of an idea of what goes on in the body when it comes down to these tiny weird complicated things tired to foods and digestion. Rant out.

http://www.foodpolitics.com/wp-content/uploads/Physicians-Committee-USDA-HHS-Lawsuit-1.6.16-2.pdf

Here's what the final version says

https://health.gov/dietaryguidelines/2015/guidelines/chapter-1/a-closer-look-inside-healthy-eating-patterns/

>As recommended by the IOM,[24] individuals should eat as little dietary cholesterol as possible while consuming a healthy eating pattern.

>Strong evidence from mostly prospective cohort studies but also randomized controlled trials has shown that eating patterns that include lower intake of dietary cholesterol are associated with reduced risk of CVD, and moderate evidence indicates that these eating patterns are associated with reduced risk of obesity.

That's a myth. Eating never "increases your metabolism" beyond a negligible amount. So the "eat 6 meals per day" fad of the last decade is all BS as well. The number of additional calories and energy you actually use because your body is processing breakfast or another meal is much much smaller than the caloric difference made by eating less food or exercising.

Yeah, but probably not for another forty to fifty years.

Same. I have a nonstick pan that I can cook eggs in with no oil, but I add a little anyway because I want them to lightly fry, they taste much better that way.

I still haven't been able to poach them successfully, maybe I'm retarded.

I eat 4 (scrambled) and and half a cup of oats. I'd eat more than 4 if I wasn't a poor NEET.

No. An increasing body evidence is growing to show that cholesterol that you intake has little to no impact on the cholesterol that gets in your blood stream.

Kellogg was a generally horrible person. He's the reason circumcision is the norm in America.

Different anon here; lots of add/adhd meds really curb your appetite. And not necessarily in a way where you don't feel hungry, it's a strange feeling where you feel hungry but you're just not able to eat for some reason. I ended up enjoying the strange feeling sometimes but it really sucked sometimes only being able to eat half a small bowl of cereal in the morning.

Same thing happens when you are a heavy weed smoker. You just have absolutely no appetite when you're not stoned. I got my normal appetite back after about a week sober though, so it's not that bad.
