I lived in China for a year before (to teach English) and the food was pretty good desu fampai. Chengdu in particular has some of the best food in the world. If you really believe that every fucking restaurant in that country of 1.4 billion people uses gutter oil, you are a sheep.

I don't want to defend this practice, but people will believe anything about China. It's bordering on the ridiculous now.
