Someone doesn't know what causes Michelin stars to be awarded.
The stars are truly award to the chef. The examination the establish undergos, all surrounds the chef. The ability for the inspectors to feel the presence of the chef in the establishment, and the ability for the chef to translate themselves to a plate. It is more than good food, it is an award for those who show a level of mastery in culinary as a whole art form.
Though considered one of the riskiest awards that can happen to an establishment (as it becomes a defensive position for the restraunt, considering that loosing a star can destroy the business) it is also an award that is really for the chef, and their ability to lead their way. Delicious food is only part of it.
Feel whatever way you'd like, as many consider the Michelin guide as absurd (reasonably so). But it does prove that the chef is one of excellence.
