isn't "truffle flavor" a red flag? why not get something with actual truffle?
>>7903633
It's literally salt mixed in with actual truffle.
What the fuck do you think the black shit in the salt is? Pepper? Fly shit?

Try making some pasta with it.
Maybe ravioli with some kind of creamy or sweet filling like sweet potatoes or something.

He's probably confused because most truffle OIL contains no actual truffle, or perhaps a tiny little bit just so they can put it on the ingredient list. Most truffle oil is flavored with a synthetic chemical and contains zero actual truffle.
Thus I can see how someone might be wary of other truffle products.

Truffle mash, Truffle rissotto, the fact its in with salt is kinda gay cause you'd have to over season if you wanted more truffle flavor.
Eggs, popcorn, anything with potatoes, hummus, grilled cheese

What in tarnation
Well, I personally think it's best as a finishing salt. I use it on steaks, lamb chops, certain pasta dishes, gnocchi, scrambled eggs, poached eggs, things like that. I also add a bit to twice-baked potatoes, risotto, and baked mac and cheese.
