What's a good, strong bagged tea for a coffee drinker looking to switch over? I don't care much for drip coffee, and using a press or moka pot for a single cup is just a pain in the ass.

I don't see how loose tea is inherently superior. You're steeping leaves in water. I doubt giving the tea "breathing room" is going to change the flavor in any perceptible way.

The leaf quality for starters.

I guess I'd better ask for suggestions on a good brand then

Bigelow Constant Comment. If it turns out you like tea, I recommend you give loose leaf a try, especially the green blends.

I want something strong and rich. I don't really care for green tea.

What's the difference between Earl Grey and an English Breakfast tea, anyway?
>>
>>7888983
Earl Grey is just black tea flavoured with bergamot oil, while English Breakfast is usually a blend of black teas that tastes kind of like old socks plain but is palatable with milk and sugar.

Cool, ordering the "Assam CTC" sachets. Thanks.

Get some Yorkshire Gold. It can be brewed really strong and astringent.

Earl grey is excellent, Starbucks US has worlds worst earl grey though. twining Irish breakfast is great. Tetley has a green/black blend that I love.
>>

There is a difference in general.

Yeah I noticed that afterwards, I'm just gonna get a tea ball from amazon so I can brew it by the cup
