I used to swear by Palermo's, but in all honesty when it comes to pre frozen pizza - which you have to accept is just going to be mediocre at best by nature - the surprising best of the lot was pic related, this specific kind in particular. Note not regular Digorno, it has to be the "pizzaria!" shit and probably the flat crust ones specifically.

The crust wasn't that bad when I ate one of the mustache ones but the sauce is better on DiGiorno in my opinion but if you don't get them on sale I'd still take a chain pizza over either or just buy a $1 tostinos simply for the savings. Freschetta used to be really good. I actually used to prefer their pizza to all the local pizza joints around here. Something about the seasonings they used, the cheeses and that crust was really good.

Now they're fucking garbage, one of if not the worst frozen pizzas on the market. Ever since the 'naturally rising' meme took over there was a steep drop in frozen pizza quality and Freschetta was hit harder than most.

It's one of the only frozen pizzas to actually have crust that feels like crust, even the non stuffed crust ones have crust that rises really high and cooks very well by simply placing it into the oven on the tray the comes with it

They're huge too, like 650g for £2.50. Way better than any other frozen pizza I've ever had.

I haven't had it yet, because GRRR, I have a narrow freezer, but I have tried their Stromboli with the meatballs/pepperoni/ricotta because of the small 2 serving box. I did the micro-bake combination method with a 2 minute microthaw, and then a 15 minute bake. They were actually mostly delicious with good tasting cheeses. The dough was nicely doughy, not tough, and tasted fresh. The meatballs were wonderfully seasoned and pretty generous, probably about 8 per stromboli (mini sized). The pepperoni was floppy and only so-so flavorwise, and so I might forgo that flavor when I eventually do try the pizzas. Overall 8/10, and would buy again, and likely only this flavor. It still is less than something I could get from a local joint but likely better than what someone could get if only chains were their choices somewhere else.

I've tried all the take n bake rectangular options from WalMart, which are alright as a "snack" kind of thing, party appetizers, something to have with some wine or beer and some pool party time, but the crusts are not flavorful. They also fit in my fridge, not my freezer.

What I typically if I want homemade pizza is get the dough balls from Publix, and if you ask, they'll give you a frozen one, so you can thaw it yourself the next day or two. If you saute some fresh spinach or peppers with a flavorful sausage like Publix' artichoke parm or spinach feta, or Aidells sun-dried tomato. I dive the dough ball into 4ths. Stretch out a disc with each. I simple add a little warm filling on top of a dollop of ricotta and smoked provolone into each calzone. I sprinkle with olive oil and sea salt. Bake on pizza stone on top of parchment for any leaks :P
