Parasites aren't the issue with modern meat. The issue is bacteria.

With store bought ground-beef, that is too rare. They grind the beef before any real wash/rinse.

If you bother to grind it up yourself, you can wash it before the grind and cook it like a steak. If you did that, that level of rareness is perfectly reasonable.

Well why not. You can see in OPs pic that the burger isn't dry as fuck, it might drip. Plus ketchup tends to go to the edges and drips.

That's why I need More for dipping. I can't keep enough ketchup on my burger to keep me satisfied
