How does one become a master cook? Does it just come naturally?

Time, training, practice practice practice, and lots of cocaine if Gordon Ramsay, Anthony Bourdain, Wolfgang Puck et all are any indication
Work your way up from the bottom, go school for it, or be the beneficiary of a ton of nepotism
Like most things really

The first thing you need is a personality for television.
The second thing you need is a good manager.
The third thing you need is a whole lot of luck.
It's helpful if you know some stuff about cooking, too.

Someone like Ramsay spent decades in the kitchen, working from the dirt upwards. Maybe some have a natural atonement to it, but with enough dedication and willingness to learn, you may be able to achieve the standard that those "masters" can get to.

a lot of it is natural. ramsay is one of those people who can detect minute changes in flavor. then there's people like jack, who eats literal hog slop and is perfectly happy.

god, could you imagine jack on one of ramsay's shows? i wonder which would be most entertaining. hell's kitchen would be pretty good.

I'd be fine with Ramsay working over Ja/ck/ with a blowtorch and a crowbar

Jack started crying because some people didn't want to invest in his sauces. He'd be institutionalised after a Ramsay show.
>implying ramsay is a chef.
