use fresh mozzarella in brine, not a low-moisture block.
don't use no-bake noodles.
make fresh sauce, don't use jarred.
i personally greatly dislike meat in lasagna, i think it ruins the texture.
make sure it's browned on top without drying out the edges and making the noodles too hard.
