I had a gyro once. It was delicious.

Take something that originates from and is made better somewhere else, copy it poorly then claim it was Greek all along.

Completely homemade version:
Beat egg yolk and lemon juice together to uniform yellow, then stream in warm oil and hot chicken stock.

Easier way:
Beat mayonnaise and lemon juice, then add hot chicken stock.

It's fucking disgusting.
