>leave Texas
>travel across the country
>all the food is shit

You got that right. The only good meals I've had since leaving DFW were the ones I made myself.

You don't want to know the things they are doing to "Mexican food" up in Virginia.
>>7712835
sorry tx but salt and pepper isn't enough flavor for bbq.

No, I'd say your choice of wood for smoking, your meat, and your cooking method is much more important than your sauce or seasoning.
If you leave home, and everywhere else you find the food terrible, then guess what, brother: Your home has shitty food.

I take it you've never been to Texas. Most folk go to Texas and never want to leave. It has the best of everything.
Texas fags are like ignorant yuropoors with their skewed image of what the rest of the country eats and what constitutes good food, and they also mistakenly think they're little corner of the world with it's limited options and claims to authenticity is the height of the culinary world.
Guess what? Everybody likes the food they grew up eating, but only sheltered fags try something new and cry like a baby for the shit they're used to.

Oh look, you've got the Texas version of NYC Stockholm syndrome.

We've got the oil, the real wealth, the properly human humans. You've got the fags, and you can keep them.
>>7712951
In other words, you know absolutely nothing about Texas.
>>7712866
so north carolina style bbq?
>>7712966
>we're a gas station filled with Mexicans
>we're also too fucking dumb to know which State Austin is in
YEEEEEE HAW!

I've been through Texas a number of times and have friends from there. There's some good food, sure, but every Texas post on /ck/ is always stupidly state patriotic and brimming with delusions of grandeur.
It sounds more like you've never left Texas.
