Why not partially cook the bacon separately, combine the two, then finish off in the oven? I've never cooked them before but that's how I might do it.

For one you can't sear the scallop, so you cant get a nice crust on it.

Also if you put a scallop in the oven for a minute its cooked, so even partially cooked bacon wont crisp up in time.

Now you can probably parcook the bacon and then deep fry the whole thing, that might work.

Like everybody else, my concern is that the scallops would be well cooked before the bacon is even acceptable.
