What's for dinner, /ck/?

I'll be having beer can chicken with roasted potatoes and carrots.
>>
I'm making some sourdough bread and I defrosted some beef and vegetable soup I had in the freezer.

Iceland Chicken Fajita Pizza... for £1
>>

Looks pretty dry there, m80.
>>
>>7668110
Not that person, but yeah buckwheat itself always comes out pretty dry in comparison to other grains and pseudograins when you cook it like rice. So I'd always recommend to either put a good amount of sauce/paste/condiment or make it a porridge (why it was called porridge when it's just cooked I do not know - it's only porridge if there is visible liquid)

love that beer can chicken
put garlic clove under the skin

Now the debate: it doesn't make a tinker's dam what is in the can. Water, beer, ginger ale, &c., it will taste the same, though I am partial to beer.
>>
>>7668264
How though? The can is open so it's not going to explode and aluminum doesn't create any toxic fumes at the temperatures used to cook a chicken.
>>
>>7668294
I used crushed garlic is the basting butter.

I'm really not sure if it makes any difference, but it's going to taste mostly of the coals used for the cooking so if there's a flavour created by the beer and the different aromatics added in the can, it's going to be overwhelmed anyway.

Hello guys. I'm from Russian and I'm currious why beef there in the US is more popular than pork? Is it true at all? Thanks.

going to the pub tonight with my footy team

so probably chicken parmie
>>
>>7667848
Why did you stick a can up that chickens ass?
>>
>>7670738
The steam keeps the chicken moist and i imagine the beer inside imparts a bit of flavor.

That's a pretty good deal. I've never tried that pizza but you can't go wrong for a quid.

Dr. Oetker Ristorante pizzas are the best frozen pizzas. If you ever see them on offer, fill your freezer. Especially the funghi and spinach ones. I've seen them for a quid fifty at Tesco and a local chain called Heron a couple of times.

Goodfellas are great frozen pizzas too and I sometimes see them going for one fifty so keep an eye out. It's usually worth that extra few pennies to get a nice one.

I could really go for a pizza right now but my oven's fucked. I was gonna cut some steaks off a joint of gammon I defrosted and have those fried with eggs and chips, but now I might go mental and have chopped fried gammon with cheese and tomato in a few wraps. Fried mushrooms as well...

Chopped gammon and onion, sliced mushrooms, all fried together in garlic (and rosemary?). Put that in a wrap with grated cheese on top, then wrap it and put it in the grill for a minute (crispy wrap and melted cheese).

Yeah, it totally is. Beef is way more common, but I couldn't tell you why. I suppose it was in response to the huge amounts of good, open land that was available- cows were the easiest way to get huge amounts of meat from it. Overtime it became less and less practical; we now know that beef is one of the worst ways to produce meat in terms of efficiency. The beef market is a big problem. Pic related- a waste lagoon from a commercial cattle feed lot. All that nasty shit seeps into the soil and releases toxic gases as it decomposes.

Wow, that just looks like pure evil. Like when you search Google Images for a disease you think you might have and it comes up with the most fucked up examples from medical textbooks.

I feel a bit bad for eating that ribeye yesterday now. What about grass-fed lamb? Can I eat that without creating a giant portal to hell?

Americans don't understand nutrition but want the leaner meat. Keeping pigs became less popular and profitable as demand went down because our pigs were some big ol fat fuckers. As a result, desperate pig farmers shrank their pigs down a ton to get leaner pork. So now we either get disgusting, dry, lean pork or mass-marketed beef.

No, it isn't. I rarely see spare ribs above $2/lb. Maybe the "seasoning made for Texans" is really expensive?

This just doesn't make sense to me.
If you go to the trouble of smoking ribs for 8 hours, why wouldn't you take the time to make a nice rub yourself?
It's like serving $300 champagne in plastic cups or eating a big mac with diamond encrusted silverware.
