Underrated fruit/vegetables based persimmon

Never got persimons desu, the flavor is mediocre at best, the texture is too soft, it's not fresh like a good mango, it's just like a sweet, overly ripe tomato

My brother in laws grandfather has a persimmon farm and last year he sent them a few bags of dried ones and they were one of the best things I've ever had
