Water has started to sound very unappetizing. It probably has to do with the fact that I recently switched to city water instead of home done filtration. I need something with a different taste, but isnt unhealthy to the point ill get diabetes or something three months over. I may not even care if it tastes bad, ill get used to it.
Is sparkling water / bottled water the best bet? Or are there even healthier alternatives?

Cheap spring water sold by the gallon.
Why not just get a water jug or bottle with filter?
I don't think it's possible to have healthier alternatives to water.
Cold tea is how I drink water. A big mason jar full of water, and any berry flavored tea with no sugar. Pic related.

Buy a countertop water distiller. You can get a cheap plastic one for $100 or a last-your-entire-life stainless steel one for $400 but either way, they'll pay for themselves pretty quickly if the alternative is buying bottled water.

I drink almost entirely kombucha and water kefir now. I ferment it to pretty much 0 sugar left, but the acidity is probably fucking the enamel on my teeth. Healthy besides that

Add a pinch of baking soda. It shouldn't bother your kefir regardless but if you want to make sure, just wait add it right before you drink it. A completely negligible amount, like 50mg, is more than enough to put you at least to a neutral ph.

True, my refridgerator has a filter, but it doesnt seem do change the taste of tap water even when I just replaced it. Maybe something somewhere is broken

That's probably the best way around this, ill try an external filter
