Depends. Some tofu are seasoned. Look at the expiration date for yours, if not.

In my experience fried tofu is just sort of gross.

I found someone to test it, she said it was fine and had a taste of flour.

It's never going to spoil within 1 or 2 hours outside a fridge. Takes way longer. Some fried and smoked tofu does have an offensive smell, although the taste can be better than the smell suggests. Lots of foods have offensive smells, such as certain cheeses.

If it's a day old a smell is pretty normal. Should be fine.

you mean this kind of fried tofu aka Aburaage or do you mean just simple pan fried tofu?

because Abuurage does tend to get a little weird after a day or even less in my experience
its still okay to eat a day later but it just isn't the same as when its fresh
