Just got these in the mail from Amazon. Pretty good. I really want to try the sweet potato variety as well.

Japanese Candy/Snack thread I guess

This shit right here-- it's basically a crunchy cinnamon cracker. You can only generally find it around the Kansai region, but it's fucking addictive-- especially if you find shops that top them with a light coating of powdered sugar.
>>
Chinsuko, which are Okinawa shortbread cookies made with lard. Perfect for dipping in tea or coffee.

Are those the Green Tea ones? I bought them at an Asian grocer and couldn't tell the difference from the regular ones...

It's a matter of degree. There's a difference between watching pirated chinese porno cartoons and paying $20 for a candy bar.
>>
>>7591273

if i wanted that fucking kitkat i would just go to grand asia down the fucking street and get it for $2 and i live in the fucking "uncultured redneck deep south"

what bumfuck shithole do you live that doesn't have an asian supermarket to fill all your weeb desires and make you some bubble tea on the way out?
>>
>>7591123
Well it's still s choco-covered wafer, at the end of the day.
I'd take it you don't take much green tea.
>>
>>7591278
if you go into the asian markets around here while being not asian they give you a funny look and are rude
>>
The cheesecake ones are my favourite.

>>7591123
Regular Japanese ones or just regular American ones? They're definitely milkier than American ones with a greater chocolate to wafer ratio. Compared to other Japanese ones, they're not that different. I would say they taste more milky than macha-y but the flavour is definitely there.

>>7591097
This sounds really good.
>>
>>7591373

i take my asian girlfriend. all the girls smile and all the guys look like they are on suicide watch because their daughters are all racemixing.
>>
>>7591278
I live in a corn field in the uncultured redneck deep south. The closest asian market is an hour away in the capitol and has precure candy from two years ago. OP specifically said he ordered his shit online, so it's reasonable to assume he paid the idiot tax.
>>
>>7590644
Eh, the sweet potato flavor isn't that great. The only novelty with those is that you can toast them, but even then they aren't that good. The green tea is much better, so enjoy those! I'd like to try the wasabi flavor just for a novelty, but they don't sell those at the asian market close to my house, I'd have to drive to a different part of the city to find them, but fuck that.

I guess it's just where you live. I used to go shop at this one Asian supermarket close to the city I used to live in that was owned by an elderly Korean couple. They loved my friends and I and gave us free snacks a few times.

On to Japanese snacks, the snack selection at convenience stores, such as 7-Eleven is great. I would go down with my buddies to get a quick snack of karaage, corn dog, etc., if it was late and I didn't feel like cooking.

Tfw i'm not weeb but I have 7 pages on my bucket list dedicated to just Japanese candy to try

Add another - Super Lemon Candy
>>
>>7594030
I love Super Lemon. And Super Cola as well.
I don't know that I have a favorite Japanese snack, there's a lot of good ones, though I have been enjoying all the sakura flavored drinks and snacks that appear this time of year. The sakura mochi I bought a week ago was pretty fucking nice. My kitchen looks like a fucking Barbie lives in there, for fucks sake, with all the pink packaging.

that used to happen in seattle but they eventually just gave up, too many whites wanting cheap asian produce. either that or i just got used to it and they still hate me

Eh, I was really disappointed with the green tea kit-kats. Way too expensive, and it essentially tasted like shitty white chocolate.

What's with the sudden interest in Japanese KitKats I've been seeing? My brother mentioned these just this weekend.

Also Nestle is literally Hitler.

My ass. They are one of the worst companies in the world, as far as food production goes.

>>7595075
They are just gaining popularity and novelty in flyover land. And, to the same populace, there's been an influx of more asian people who've opened markets and restaurants, fueling their inquisitiveness.
>>
>>7595075
It's leddit.
