I have some growing in a log in my yard. Cheaper and easier then getting lost in the woods or paying nazi prices for a mushroom

Enjoy your cancer.

Russula are awesome creamed, with dill.
Get in pan with some butter and let most of the water content cook off. When starting to fry, add more butter, schallots and a small amount of flour to make a roux. Don't let the onion fry as we don't want it sweet. Add cream and let thicken.
Lots of chopped dill after it's off the heat. Eat on toast.

>it's april
>morel season fuck yeah
>only found two so far

Last couple years have been pretty disappointing for mushroom hunting.

Only way I cook them is breading that shit with a nice seasoned flour and frying them. They're amazingly addictive.

Picked a few of these bad boys out in the forest and am about to saute them up.

I'll let you know how they taste. They smell pretty sweet.

One can always count on retards posting about poisonous or hallucinogenic mushrooms in wild mushrooms threads.

Yes, we get it. A tiny fraction of wild mushrooms are toxic and we should never go outside.

Nice try, I have a master's in mushroom science, I know these are safe to eat.

Nice try guys, but I'm a Nobel Prize laureate Mycologgist.
I would help you guys out with some basic mushroom identification, but my 9/10 gf is wanting to go out on our 300ft yacht and 24inch dick for a week!
Cheers

>working towards a PhD in mycology, of all fields, can only be a fantastic lie

lol thanks, I think
>>
>>7588120
You have to understand they've never worked towards anything notable in their life so the concept of a major success to them is alien and incomprehensible.

Yeah but it's not like my degree is going to guarantee employment, money, fame, and the like.

A BSc, MSc, and PhD has cost me 11 years of lost income, 12 if you include the year I took off in between to work.

I'll probably do 1-2 years of post-doc work ($40-60k/year) and get an academic or federal research position if everything works out. I'll top out at like $100-120k/year if I'm lucky.

I wouldn't want to do anything else, but I wouldn't exactly dangle my life story in front of someone to make them envious.

Brown rice risotto, boletus edulis, spinach, pecans, vegetable stock. That's it. Fantastic.

Have to be careful of general "wild mushrooms" however, as gf is allergic to chanterelles and we don't really want to discover what other species. Morels are absolutely 100% off the menu.

i tried to succeed once. it was hard so i gave up.
