Cooking is a very complex and large thing with many different layers.
There are many sort of tangential things that loosely fit in with cooking (or any other activity) that people will connect with.

I liken it to the fast food threads, they arent cooking in a strict sense but someone who cooks and spends their time on this board will inevitably pop in and talk fast food too.

To ban Jack and Joey is lame, because it feeds directly into the interests of the board.

It remind me of /sp/. It used to be a thriving community board where many different things were talked about, even some tangential things that werent strictly sports but pertained to it.

Then the /asp/ split, and then the WWE being forced off there. Its taken a good fast board, shit all over it. and created 2 slower much more watered down boards.

Sucks, I hope /ck/ doesnt go down the same militant path that /sp/ did
