I picked up a big bag of them from Chinatown for a couple bucks. I've just been slicing them up in stirfries. Reconstituted dried shiitake are ideal for quiches, though. Fantastic flavor.

I decided to fry up a batch with some chicken and sauce made with tomato puree, PHS, black pepper, cayenne pepper, cumin, brown sugar, and garlic powder.
