I don't know why anyone else would spread their retarded opinion otherwise.
>>
>>7405567
The only swill I will ever pay for with my own money, and that's only when I want to get wasted on less than $8, and I don't want to drink the cheapest vodka available.

>>
>>7405567

Does Schlitz still exist in non-40 oz form? It used to be my uncle's favorite but they stopped selling it near him ages ago.

High Life is my go-to, but also Yuengling when I'm on the east coast and Rainier when I head up north.
>>
>>7406524
yes they still make shlitz.
>>
>>7406009

Wisconsin made Wisconsin sold. Theres some bizarre embargo on it so it stays in state. I'm sure there are ways around it if you put in enough effort.
>>
>>7406524
Supposedly. I can only find it in bars and restaurants.

> bizarre embargo

They SAY it's 'cause they only brew enough for here (Which at <200k, is probably true.) but I think Chicago's graft was a little rough on their pockets. Also, New Glarus is cheap, but I don't think it really fits the "swill" category. Pictured is my go-to, but only in cans - it definitely tastes different in bottles; gassier and not as smooth.

this, t︂b︂︂h
I spend the past week trying various american macros and holy shit I never realized how much I hate all of it. also, for the record there was a time when cheap american beer was all I drank and nonironically enjoyed it, so this isn't a case of a craft snob shitting on macros out of nowhere. no wonder 'import' is a seen as fancy here, macro lagers from pretty every other country are much better (except for mexico, but even tecate is better than most them).
>>
>>7408999
The reason most other countries have better macros is because they either don't water it down with adjuncts to make it taste like less, or they don't use adjuncts at all and they're all malt.

I personally have zero problem with adjuncts, but I think you should only use corn or rice to lighten the color of a lager brewed with american 6-row to cut the protein levels.

Oatmeal, wheat, and rye are always good though.

Fun Fact: Rainier and Olympia are now literally the same beer. They are made in the same factory in california and have different labels applied.

I remember back in college we always bought the 24 packs of Olys Stubbys from Costco. But it isn't the same beer these days. If I am cheaping out and getting swill, it will be Coors Original or PBR

Thing is Bud has basically become Bud Light over the years

light adjunct lagers are so much worse than normal adjunct lagers
>>
>>7409076

So true, I barely even seen straight up Bud on tap anywhere anymore, its always Bud Light. You want a Bud, you're getting it in a bottle.
>>
>>7409141
I have never, ever seen Budweiser, Coors Banquet, MGD, or MIller hi-life on tap
