I'm sure you already know all about this one.
Anyway, it's fermented herring and it's known to smell really bad.
Tastes fine on a piece of flatbread with some onions and potatoes, though.

It's blood, some meat and groats, people just seem to fixate on the blood part too much, doesn't taste like blood at all.
