I feel so bad for americans. They have to use graham crackers instead of digestives in their desserts. Graham crackers, which were literally designed to be bland.

The graham cracker was originally conceived of as a health food as part of the Graham Diet, a regimen to suppress what Reverend Graham considered unhealthy carnal urges, the source of many maladies according to Graham. Reverend Graham would often lecture on "self-abuse", as masturbation was commonly called at the time. Graham would often say how these experiences were inspired by children eating crackers.[1] One of his many theories was that one could curb one's sexual appetite by eating bland foods. Another man who held this belief was John Harvey Kellogg, the inventor of the corn flakes cereal.[2]

I'm familiar with the history, that doesn't make them bland. I've had them both and while the texture is different, and the graham wafers have a deeper, honey flavour, they aren't that different. Compare the ingredients and the nutrition chart, they're really similar. Most biscuits are.

They've got over 5g of sugar per 30g. Most bread has about 2g in twice that (or whatever a slice weights, about 50g?) The bread I have right now is 3g per 71g. Nobody eats just plain bread though so it's fine. Biscuits are usually eaten alone.

Yeah, the dressing is a bit of a toss up. If you want fruity flavors, raspberry vinaigrette. To fool and jape your peers, balsamic vinaigrette. To maintain consistent white-ness, ranch all the way.
