Not really. I guess it's ok when sliced thin and fried until crispy and dipped in some kind of sauce. I'd still rather eat meat or just vegetables instead.

ive had good tofu at places. it was light, crispy, golden brown

i cant recreate that. do they dehydrate it first?

I liek mapo tofu. A lot. Like, unreasonably lot. I can't be arsed to even use ground pork with it, I just use soy chunks since they keep on the shelf forever.
