So don't really have that much countertop space but I do have one of these in a cupboard. I would like to start using,
So I want to know how offend would I need to change the oil? Can I filter the oil after its been used so many times? Will it get a nasty tasty quickly if I fire fish one day and the other fires.
Lets say one day I want to use it for a deep fried snickers bar. Could I use it the next for some tasty fires?
When I am not using it I will be storing it away. As it would be maybe used like 2 twice in a month.

Change the oil every 5-10 fry sessions.
Yes, you can and should filter the oil for storage.
As long as the oil is the correct temp, it will take a few fry's before it takes on any flavor.
When we use ours we get any pieces of batter/breadcrumbs/etc out of the oil after use and store the whole inner tub cling wrapped in the fridge.

You will also find that after several uses the oil will start to break down, especially if you are frying frozen foods as water leaches into the oil.

Yes, your fires will taste like fish and anything else will at that point after. Fish is the biggest offender.
