- Cheap
- Easy to cook
- Has actual taste, unlike pasta and rice
- Can go with anything (absorbs taste from things it accompanies)
What /couscous/ things have you done today?
Me, I did the "Subhuman NEET Couscous" today:
1. Boil water
2. Add couscous to water

couscous is pasta
>Add couscous to water
That's instant couscous. It has the advantage of being easy and fast to make, but I'd rather have rice. Making real couscous is a pain in the ass, but the result is much better. It helps to have a bunch of women in the kitchen with nothing else to do for half a day if that's what you want.

You must be buying shitty pasta and shitty rice.
Also, couscous is pasta, just in a different shape.

Couscous is pretty underrated desu
>Use only wheat pasta and rice as staples
>Call everything else "hipster grains".
>h-hey guys wheat is so awesome if it comes in granules
Cornmeal is way better, you can make these awesome blocks, also millet is spherical like couscous but also tastes better.

Polenta tastes like shit

>polenta
>literally just grits with an Italian name
>complains about hipsters
It's good to have some around for a ten minute meal. I like a bit of mackerel and sambal with it.
However
>Has actual taste, unlike pasta and rice
No.
