New cook at a retirement home. Is crushed chocolate chip cookies mixed with vanilla ice cream a passable dessert?
Thinking about sad old people makes me feel bad, and no OP, thats pitiful
You could make ice cream sandwiches if they're not too difficult to eat.
Why didn't the old people get their morning snack on Wednesday, anon?

Sounds like the dessert version of this to be honest
old people will eat almost anything that is put in front of them. even if they don't like it, they'll forget about it by tomorrow.

Because they were all asleep.
>chocolate chip cookies mixed with vanilla ice cream
I.. uh.. actually I like that.

I wouldn't serve that to anyone. That sounds more like a drunk by 6:30 dinner to me.

a scoop of ice cream with half a cookie wedged in
old folks shouldn't eat so much sugar

Don't you have some canned fruit or something? Half a peach with a scoop of ice cream and a sprinkling off crushed cookie would be passable.
Better get your shit together though because these people have few joys left besides meals.
OP, I think it sounds great. THe other suggestions sounded good, too.
I work at a Jewish retirement center and they always have pretty decent dessert, but on Saturdays we just give them ice cream in the little cups

Rootbeer and Funyuns
For people in a death house? Yeah, sounds like it'd be a treat.

>little cups
Why is that, anon? Do the little cups cost less? :^)

No because it reminds them of the gas.
