When are we going to get frozen/dehydrated food that doesn't suck? I'd gladly never cook again.
Here's some current problems as I see them. Feel free to add to this:
>high amounts of salt and fat to improve flavor rendering them in many opinions as unhealthy
>foods don't crisp
>crisp foods don't stay crisp (for example, microwaved french fries)
>crisping trays aren't quite there yet, let's be honest
>too expensive
>takes too much space in freezer (we need dehydrated pizzas that expand instead of a 12" or larger pizza taking up space)
>wasteful trays and cardboard
>raw foods like fruits (apples) and vegetables (lettuce) are AFAIK currently impossible (that is to say, they are disgusting)
>ingredients cook at different rates (think of how each ingredient in a frozen burger would cook)
Whoever solves this shit for mankind is reaaal fucking cool in my book. He's going to make Elon Musk look like the inventor of the Segway by comparison.
Fucking you. Get a death.
You can have convenient foods. You can have healthy and flavorful foods. You rarely have both.

Everybody who talks about or mentions that scene always fails to notice the most horrible thing about alternate future food: if the pizza is that small before going into a rehydrator, then that means that pizza is like 90% water.
Why are you microwaving french fries?

Ore-Ida sells a product, but it's not very good. I believe they'll figure it out someday.
