Hola /ck/. I have little to no food but I did buy a cauliflower today. Let's see if I can't assemble something edible from the randomness that is my supplies. Pic very related.
>mystery bag of slime in the door
>empty milk bottles
you've piqued my interest

Fucking auto rotating bullshit...
>>7254300
that cauliflower will be the death of you
>>7254304
Baked beans in the bag and bottles are water. Also got some random stuff up here.

easily done
cut cauliflower into chunks
toss with oil and red pepper flakes or salt and pepper if you don't have that
roast in the oven at 350 until the cauliflower just begins to turn golden brown
WALA

Hey bud, if you have flower you can make seitan (wheat gluten) as a nice proteinous meat substitute. Made some for the first time last night, as I was in a "not much food situation" myself, and it was quite easy.

I want to do more than just some cauliflower. Thinking I'll do it lightly in the oven then sear in a pan but need something to go with it. Dry beans take too long but I might be able to do something with this can of white beans....I like the flavor when mixed with walnut. The question is what type of thing to prepare.

Interesting..Sadly no flower though. I could run some dry beans through a grinder and then powder in the mortar and pestle but....nah. I'm thinking onion and garlic need to go with these beans and walnuts though. Give some depth.

While I think about these beans I guess we shall get this flower rocking and rolling! Also just had a crazy inspiration....let's see what happens!

Never prepared one like this. Trying something the internet showed me. Already far from what I've seen but on we move! Little bit of sunflower oil, salt, pepper and cumin. Water in the pan as well but just a smidgeon.

Cauliflower is in the oven. Let's mash some beans!
>>7254393
Mashing complete. Also added ground walnuts to be mixed in with salt and pepper and got some onion diced up nice and fine in there with the garlic also. I think I'll grind some oats to help bind this shenanigans together.
>>7254431
Just a bit of oats and one egg for good measure!
>>7254448
Need more oats to thicken up because the egg. Also the cauliflower is done and ready to sear. It will wait while we ready these beans
>>7254464
Wish me luck. I think this bean shit is going to fall apart. Hopefully the crushed chips impart a nice flavor to match the cauliflower.
>>7254479
Holding up better than expected so far....
>>7254505
Could definitely be worse!
>>7254512
Hmmm....
>>7254555
It's like looking at your great autie's facebook thing in in her uncleeaan?
>>7254555
Welp. Beans taste ok. They need something more though. Cauliflower actually tastes pretty bomb. Hooray for horrible cooking!

If I am learning from my mistakes I would say that to keep the cauliflower together, don't pull the stem. Then I would have gotten the nice uniform piece I wanted. The crunchy chip fragments compliment the soft cauliflower nicely and the jalapeƱo matches the cumin well. For the beans I was scared of the moisture but think I could have actually cut back on the oats. Flavors is good but could use a sauce of some kind. And there is a certain flavor I'm not sure of that it needs. Hope it was entertaining!
good effort

Thank you. I think I need to take the beans in another direction but the cauliflower was pretty bueno. Chips are a bit illogical as a regular thing though so I'll need to get some crunchy from another source or just let the browning bring it to the table cause it did a pretty good job of it.
