Can you crack an egg one handed? What other neat but not necessarily required tricks and techniques are there?

I always get egg all over my hand as if I just angrily crushed it.

Cracking with one hand is easy. Its something they teach at McDonalds to make you work fater at breakfast time. Just crack it and pull it apart with your thumb and little finger. Done.
>>
How quickly can you finely dice an onion?
>>
>>7177019
Not very quickly at all; but then again, I'm a home cook, not someone who works in a restaurant.

I can crack an egg one handed though. It only took about a dozen tries for me to figure it out.
>>

I can do this. Sometimes I get a bit too zealous and end up breaking the yolk from my smashing. But unless you're poaching an egg what does it matter?
>>
>>7176236
i take egg in hand and crack it on my knuckle on the other hand. egg shell is split in half and still attached. its not hard.
>>
Im a master of well done steak. i always get it right
>>
I can crack an egg one handed, but I'm not consistent though. About 1 every 6 eggs I fail and get a fair amount of eggshells in my egg.
>>7177910
>punching eggs
I have to try this.
>>
>>7177325
Slice a cross-hatch pattern down through one end of the onion, almost but not quite all the way through. Turn onion and slice off diced onion.
>>
>>7177963
Yeah, I do that, I'm just not all that quick at it.
>>
>>7177912
This isn't a useless superpowers thread
>>
>>7177019
Out of curiosity, I just timed myself. To trim the root-end, halve, peel and mince one medium/medium-large onion took me 1m42s.
Is that good? It doesn't seem to be.
>>
>>7176236
I crack eggs Ja/ck/ style, by punching them
>>
>>7176236
"bounce" an egg on a spatula a few times and then crack it with the edge of the spatula in mid air. Throw food into peoples mouths 3 feet away with a spatula.
>>
Anyone here know how to do fancy flips with pan. Like pancakes or the mixing method on some streetfood places.
>>
>>7180198
I can. It's not difficult to do at all. I've been doing that since I was like... ten years old or so.
>>
>crush egg in hand
>done

Anyone who finds this difficult is likely retarded
>>
I can toss pizza dough and do the whole skillet flip thing.. never learnt the egg thing (honestly don't really go through a lot of eggs).

Dunno if it's really a skill, more muscle memory, but I can remove the seeds from a bell pepper really damn fast.
>>
I can cut an egg into four quarters, and season each quarter differently. You might say I'm a bit of a spicemaster.
>>
>>7180351
that's the best cooking advice I've ever gotten
>>
>>7180351
Hi Spicemaster
