Greatest drunk food ever.

What recipes do y'all use for biscuits? I made some for the first time and they didn't rise very well.

My gravy always comes out bland, what am I doing wrong cu/ck/s?

My dad wanted to make Biscuits and Gravy one time, but we didn't have biscuits. So, he just used hamburger buns.

Add more salt, pepper, herbs/spices, etc.

When I make biscuits and gravy, I usually put some salt, garlic, lots of fresh ground black pepper, some oregano and some crushed red pepper in my sausage gravy.

How do you make Hashbrowns from scratch? just use a cheese grater to grate some spuds?

I want to make BnG but want something else to go with it.

Biscuits and Gravy, Bacon, fried egg, hashbrowns, and a glass of OJ sounds sublime for a late dinner.

You might be over cooking your meat as well, need to the fat content from rending it still there.
Cook the meat so that the juice flows freely from it, but dont char it to hell.
Also: spices and herbs.
