It's hard to describe, most people treat it like a joke food, but I honestly really like it. It's got a sponge cake-like texture but richer, filled with candied cherries, fruits, and also nuts, usually walnuts. It's usually drowned in alcohol too for good measure, but non-alcoholic is just as good. You usually refrigerate it before serving, but if you don't finish it, it's fine. People aren't joking when they say it can last years and still be good.
