Gordon disagrees with you.
>>
>>7112808
Then he can go fuck himself
>>
>>7112808
did he just shit on the guy for grilled salad?
nigga is retarded, grilling lettuce is a thing..
>>
>>7112823
Sticking glass jars in your ass is a thing too
>>
>>7112808

GR knows what he knows really well, but every time he encounters something not French/English he flips his shit.

Surely he's seen grilled radicchio or endive, and it's not that far of a leap to grilled romaine (you do at least need to quarter it though in order clean it out properly).

I get the "everything is spicy" criticism, but he flips his shit if anything has any heat to it at all, which often comes off as picky and sheltered.

This means half americans are retarded according to gordon then.
>>
>>7112898
what's a half american?
>>
>>7112843

It's a -common- thing. Now you go ahead and see if that still applies for your jar example.
>>
>>7112801
Fuck yeah!
We used to make a puree from anchovies, mixed herbs & roasted garlic
Split the romaine in half, spread the puree on it & grill it
Serve it with grilled octopus or seared fish
Crazy delicious
>>
What effect does grilling have on lettuce? For the life of me I just can comprehend what this would be like. Wouldn't the side that gets grilled get all mushy and shitty?
>>
>>7113073

It gets charred, and the whole piece just gets a little wilted. You don't leave it on for long, but it add different flavors and textures.
>>
>>7112913
Its not common
>>
>>7112808
What.. so if I grill my lettuce I'm retarded? Goddamit Gordon Ramsay.
>>
>>7113129
But does the flavour change? Most leafy things taste quite different cooked than raw. Or is it just like warm lettuce with different textures and a charred taste?
