Rate my chili. I didn't have any beef or other chili ingredients, so I used chicken and noodles instead.
1 large onion
3 cloves garlic
1kg ground beef
3 tsp cayenne pepper powder
3 tsp chili powder
2 tsp smoky paprika powder
1 tsp black pepper
pinch of brown sugar
500ml tomato purée
can of crushed tomatos
2 small pieces of dark chocolate
can of kidney beans
olive oil in pan, add onions and garlic until onions are starting to brown, add beef and let it cook for a bit
add spices+sugar+chillis and let it cook until the meat is brown, then add the tomatos, let it simmer for at least an hour, add beans, butter and chocolate, let it cook for another 20 minutes, cook the rice, eh wa la!
can also add 1 cinnamon stick or some creme cheese when you add the beans if it's too spicy but keep in mind that you should serve it with rice which makes it more mild
I need a little help /ck/, I was thinking of making a vegetable chili (cause I'm broke and cant afford meat) and i was considering adding something beyond beans ,tomato and corn to round out the dish but I'm not sure what is and what isn't a good idea. I was thinking about adding either cactus, pumpkin, potato or sweet potato but i don't have enough experience to know if those will work or not.

honestly, I didn't even know what that meant. I googled it in the store.
I don't put beans in my chili, but it's a contest and I know the people tasting. They're gonna want beans.
I work in a liquor store, so I only paid 2 bucks.
I thought about it, but the meat was on sale and I figured all the spices and stuff would over power the quality of the meat anyway.
The first batch tasted good, but it was greasy as fuck. I think it's because I cooked the onions in the bacon fat. I'm gonna make another batch and leave out the bacon this time. Smokiness doesn't really belong in chili anyway.
That look like quality "Houston" texas styled chili. I used 2 make chili with extra bean 4 my prayer circle and also as special envoy 2 waiting area at my local TGI Friday's/Chili's Chain Restaurants.
r8 mine and please don't make fun of the fucking bowl

I didn't have cheese, egg, bacon, pepper, or a pot so I used chicken broth and watermelon rind instead.
