What is your favorite sack dress?
Why are haters so obsessed with making their bodyshape look appealing?
When did they become accepted as lolita?

Ahh I have this exact Wrapping Ribbon OP! Definitely fave and so far only sack dress, looks like I made the right choice for a sack.
>The bright purple and green colorways are absolutely disgusting tho
I have pic related and I love the quality but it looks fucking huge on me. I'm not even that small, I mean, I'm sure the average Japanese girl is smaller than me. How should I wear it? Should I alter it? (My waist size is 70 cm and bust size 81 cm)

I guess I just don't understand the appeal of these dresses. They look comfy, but they also look like sleep dresses or like the brands were trying to make dresses that could be sold to the most people possible. I love the look of this dress >>9588350 but it's just too baggy on this model. It looks awful.

Agreed. They're basically lolita muumuus. That doesn't mean they can't be cute, but really...
Remember when xpinkzombiesx made a muumuu out of Fruits Parlor (I think?) replica fabric? Everyone made fun of her back then, but apparently she was a visionary.

I thought the same, until one summer I got sick with something that left my stomach sore and made me nauseous if anything pressed on it. Really surprised to learn that the comfiest thing in my wardrobe was the Cosmic muumuu that I'd bought on impulse. I still had to run errands despite being sick, and found the muumuu, paired with lightweight shorts, was just so incredibly comfy while being cute for running around town in.
I think sleep dresses is pretty much it -- they're comfy while being cute, that's about it.

Maybe wear it with a belt. Can you remove the thing on the back?
>>9588482
That one actually seems to have some shape to it. Does it have ties in the back?
I like them. I think our (the West) idea of lolita has become too defined. Too many rules. Now it's too costumey. If a lolita brand puts out a dress, it's probably with the intent of being worn for lolita. I think sack dresses are cute and fun. I personally like empire dresses more but sack dresses are lolita too.

This dress would be so much cuter if the collar was a little higher up. Same goes for the sailor JSK
Would pic related be considered a sack dress?
>>9588638
Nah, that's empire/just waist. Which is p close.
>>9588638
What brand is this? I love it. Boz?
>>9588708
Heart E
>>9588646
I'm not sure if that'd be empire on anyone who had tits though, unless you're short and literally flat-chested I think that waistband would hit on the bust rather than under, making it more of a sack cut.
>>9588761
Those people are too big for the dress
I think another issue is the broader your shoulders are with these dresses the more boxy you look. Essentially these dresses are draped over the body and what happens towards the top of the dress dictates how the dress will flow at the bottom.
>>9588761
It's still an empire waist, but those with actual breasts will have to wear a binder to fit in it properly though
>>9588482
Is this Risa?
/r/ the sack dress which the draping begin just above the boobs and make them look humongous, if I remember right it was either Baby or AP
>>9588875
Yeah, it also says MODEL RISA near the bottom in the small print.
>>9588879
You mean >>9588350 above? Or this cut of Dreamy Planetarium (on the left)? I think there's a few of them floating around before the burandos got a clue and stopped that shit.
>>9588879
god, was it the lucky key series? Normally I'm a OP girl but christ that cut looked so shit
>>9589492
This was it, thanks. So horrible
