Okay, here's a question: how do y'all deal with self-doubt and moments of wanting to quit?

I'm entering the Brisbane round of Championships and while I'm super happy with how I'm going so far, I'm finding it hard to keep putting in the many, many hours when I realistically know I don't stand a chance against Major Sam.

I mean, I love the craft and the process, but how do you pep yourself up for a long-haul project you don't think will have great outcomes?

I'd love to hear how everyone deals with being in the trenches on long-term, or difficult, or hell just normal cosplay projects.

I haven't watched the Comp, but there's rules stating that the voices/audio can't be ripped from the original sources. Did the other skit have ripped material, or was it recorded from someone else? I think that, even if they didn't record it themselves, it doesn't break the rules since the vocals are 'original' maybe? What I said was that, while it's fine to dedicate yourself to a hobby you're passionate about, being solely dependent on your SO financially while pursuing it is a bit selfish.
