Anyone going to this?
Any Opinions or stories on it?
I went last year and it was fun. Its smaller, but you actually get to meet all the guests and get into all the panels you want instead of feeling like a sardine in a can like some of the larger cons.
Been going for multiple years, small convention but it's getting bigger. I enjoy it since it's not as big and crazy compared to most cons, so meeting up with people is easy.
They've had a large staff turnover over the years, as they drive away anyone who doesn't toe the line. They don't seem to want to be anything more than a tiny con for kids (and kids of the sheltered variety, whose parents would hit the ceiling if they saw cleavage in their kids cartoons), which keeps away a number of people. Apparently they tried to restrict video game tournaments by ESRB rating, and rumor has it some of their senior staff were "involved" with minors.
Very chill con, pretty laid back because it's pretty small. Easy to get a few seconds/minutes to chat with guests after panels. Might be times when there isn't anything going on, though, and they've had problems with arcade machines being broken in the gaming room for like the whole con.
Really good con to vend in the Artist Alley for, my profit has always been good there.
Day 1, anyone got any pics
