Yeah not sure about the shoes (and even with restocks they've just completely stopped making my shoe size anymore) but I feel like the only reason they restocked the jsk is that they also have it crosslisted to their "Sailor Uniform" cosplay category, along with a couple similar ones. Not gonna get excited and taking it as a sign to move on

Need some opinions. I want to get the Tart JSK and the on sale RHS just because they're both cheap right now. Trouble is I don't know which color to get to match the RHS because Bodyline's pictures are awful. I love the green one more but the lace won't match the shoes but I THINK maybe the pinks on the tarts will. With the pink one it's a gamble but I think the dress color itself will match the RHS but then there's the off-colored lace added in making a bunch of shades of pink.

Should I gamble on the green one or the pink one? Which one would be more forgiving with mismatched pinks in the worst case scenario?

People's colors are going to be missmatched, and it happens more often than not, as a beginner. Don't stress it. It's easier to avoid when you build your wardrobe up but it's still going to happen.

I think the people who bitch about it most don't have much of a wardrobe or aren't lolitas at all. Take it with a grain of salt.

This. Hell, I would say I'm an experienced lolita and I still get missmatched pinks/blacks. It's so annoying when it happens but people making a fuss over it are pretty stupid. We buy most of our stuff online where stock pictures aren't always accurate color-wise so it's not like we can really help it anyway.

It's not so much that gulls would say anything, it's just I know it would annoy me so bad to have all these different shades of pink on. Doesn't help that the lace isn't even pink like you'd expect. I think I'll just snag the pink one and lessen my headache because I love the print and it's cheaper with shipping than Infanta's.

The issue is more on Bodyline's end. Products sent overseas ended up ruined, especially shoes. Otherwise it took forever and a day to get your items sent and some never showed up. It got to the point where trying to contact Bodyline for a refund was near impossible so people just started doing chargebacks. Bodyline did this to themselves.

I have these and heavily advise getting a larger size than you normally wear. They are very tight where the bow is/toes start, and just run kind of small.

Also I have had the same issue with their rocking horse shoes, so I just buy all Bodyline shoes large now.

Ahh, thanks! It was like my second coord ever and it was for a big event so I was really nervous about it looking nice!

The actual heel is 2.25" inches. Measured from the top of the back of the shoe it's 5" overall. Hopefully that helps!

I have to disagree with you. I wear a 24.5 just fine in Bodyline shoes and I got a pair of their RHS with the ankle straps and could barely fit my foot in them. They hurt way too much to wear because they were so tight.

I'm actually still trying to get a pair since Bodyline is rarely restocking them now but I'd say if you're a smaller 24.5 (in that you can wear 24 in some shoes) go for a 25 but if you're a larger 24.5 (in that a size 25 fits you for flatter shoes) get a 25.5. You can always put an insole in them as well to take up room.

I have these RHS in dark pink and they're a bit darker than in the stock photo. I Would personally go with the green because I don't like to have too many shades of a color in a coord, but you could really go either way. The shoes will match some of the darker pinks in the print on both dresses.

anons, help me out here

I managed to twist my ankle the last time I wore my BL platforms, as shown on pic, and broke off one of the closures/little metal buckles. this is the type of decorative buckle that has a snap on the back that actually keeps the strap in place. I know they use this on a few of their shoe types, not just the ones I have (as I have a second pair that uses these same ones myself), so I assume they're kinda common.
does anyone have a busted pair of shoes that they could take one of these buckles off from and mail it to me, or know where I might be able to buy a few to make sure I won't find myself in this situation again? I'll happily pay for shipping in the former case, EU preferred as it'll probably get kinda pricey from elsewhere.

I busted one of these myself and I just posted in my comm a picture of the shoes asking anyone if they had a pair that had died so I could steal the buckles. A few folks had pairs at the end of their life so bonus! Until I was able to get them though I just traded between shoes. Craft stores dont have the little snaps that match up with the buckles.

For anyone who owns a bodyline petti, how's the elastic in the waists? I was thinking of picking up one of their cheaper pettis for a future fairy-kei coord, and the measurement is 60-100 cm. Not sure if this will be helpful, but I have one of their bloomers(but not their pettis) and unlike the shirring on the JSKs, the max measurement for the elastic is true.
I wouldn't risk it unless you were comfortable with maybe having to replace the elastic with a longer piece.
But again, as I am basing this off their bloomers, it might not be actually helpful.

Anons I think I'm going to do one last bodyline spree to get some of the basics but I need help.

The sizing for l364 seems really big/ questionable. I'm a 95cm bust at the moment, 75cm waist, and shoulders on the broad side. I usually wear a 2L in Bodyline jsks (just tried on L580 and it's got a good inch of wiggle room, costume839 is a bit snug last I wore it). Should I get an L since that seems right?

I ordered via FJ for a pair of RHS from their Rakuten. I ordered a bag with it so I can't actually say what cost what but here's my receipt. FJ frequently has deals on Rakuten orders as well usually every other weekend.
