I avoided my schools anime club like the plague because I knew exactly who was in it so guess I don't really know who this person was. We only had narutards wearing those stupid headbands in my school anyway.

The only person I know of who's into jfashion and lolita has a notoriously bad reputation because she's just a nasty person. She's the most stuck up person I know despite her sewing skills being basic, her original designs being basic, and her taste being so old school in a bad way.

Interesting thing, I've been on cgl for years now and I used to dress like that. I thought it was the right way to dress without being a lolita. When I self-posted my outfits, people said it was alright.

I'm old and have a job now, so I got rid of most of those clothes, but those were the good times... Even though I'm ashamed I wore stuff like that and looked like a whore, those were still the times when I had the most fun dressing up.

It really depends on how much hair you put in it/how thick your hair is. White girls/girls with thin hair need to put way less hair in a bun for it to look good. If you have thin hair only use about as much as you would put into bangs and it can be very cute, if you have thicker hair you can use a lot more hair in the bun and have it look nice.

It was discussed here previously that what is called "otome fashion" in Japan is general cute and girly fashion. What we know as otome in the west (similar to lolita but with smaller poof and quirky styling etc. etc.) doesn't really have a name in Japan, except maybe some people called it "soft lolita" or some such.

otasa no hime is a pre-existing stereotype in japan, the title of that book has the phrase "otasa no hime" in it. the shortened version originated here a couple of months ago. the images didn't originate on 4chan either, except maybe a couple of the translations. they were pulled from japanese social media.
